TAJA travel guide: Dallas edition

many of you followed along our Dallas adventure on Instagram and TikTok so we decided to put it all together in a blog for you... let us know in the comments what was your favorite part!

WHY:

we went to meet with current and new buyers at the Dallas Market to show them our completely custom, non-toxic candles! everyone was obsessed with the photo candle and the fact that our products are completely custom from head to toe. the most popular fragrance was In The Mood and Meet Me In Marrakesh. so if you’re in the southeast region… get ready to have tons of our custom goodies in those yummy fragrances at your local shops!

WHERE:

we stayed at the Virgin Hotel - it was a 5 minute drive from the market and it was a short drive everywhere else we went!

AFTER HOURS:

even though we were there for work, we found time to play! some of the places we went were recommendations from friends who live there, and then the rest were among our Miami favorites 🤣

- EAT (this might double into a food blog… lol)

- Bistro 31

- we both started with a house salad and then salmon with a side of mushrooms!

- Carbone

- we ordered to share the house salad (a bit spicier than usual!) and mushrooms... but that ended up being Annabelle's meal 🤣 

- Maria Elisa was a basic girlie and had the spicy rigatoni... it was spicier than the one in Miami/New York so if you love heat, don’t miss it!

- Annabelle had ordered the minestrone soup… but when it came it had pasta and she’s celiac so she couldn’t eat it 😔 they have a little work to do for the gluten intolerant.

- Honor Bar

- we ordered the guacamole to start… so good and fresh!

- Annabelle ordered the macho salad… it was as good as the name!

- Maria Elisa had her favorite chicken kale salad… because if it’s not broken, why fix it?!

- we had their skinny margaritas and they were SO strong! lots of giggles here!

- Uchi

- Annabelle took charge and ordered to share. favorite meal of the trip!

- the “fried chicken” and the mushroom nigiri were the highlights, but the salmon belly and basically every other thing we got was outstanding.

- Mendocino Farms

- we ordered lunch from here everyday! Annabelle is obsessed with this spot. we both had the pink lady beets & goat cheese salad!

- Bird Bakery

- favorite breakfast spot! they have the most delicious coffee.

- SHOP

- if you couldn’t already tell, we love Highland Park.

- we did some damage at Market. they have a curated selection of cool pieces that will be trendy despite trends!

- Layette - Annabelle stumbled in and walked out with a lot of adorable baby clothes and books. great selection of the cutest outfits and PJs, all from Peru (the best pima cotton ever).

- Dry Bar is a must! Annabelles loves a good blowout - she likes that she knows what she can expect regardless of the city!
